A London-based man agrees to host his friend's niece for a month, during which she introduces Indian customs to the household. His son develops romantic feelings for her and proposes, but she declines, claiming to be involved with someone else. Her rejection leads to tension within the family until the son uncovers the difficult reason behind her refusal.
