In a small Indian town, a police officer is tasked with the seemingly trivial job of tracking down two rare jackfruits stolen from a local politician's garden, even as she juggles workplace bias and pressure from her superiors. The seemingly absurd investigation soon intersects with a far more serious case of a missing teenage girl that the police had initially ignored. The film uses this pairing of a comic theft case and a human trafficking concern to satirize police priorities and social hierarchies in a small town.
