This 1967 Hindu mythological film traces the life of the deity Murugan through significant episodes—his birth, teachings, battles against demons, and two marriages—visiting six sacred pilgrimage sites associated with him across India. Each location in the narrative corresponds to a major chapter in Murugan's story, from his instruction of his father Shiva to his eventual settlement with his wives.
