This 1960 Tamil drama follows a landowner's son and a farmer's daughter whose secret marriage is torn apart by family pressure and misunderstanding, leaving their young son to grow up in an orphanage unaware of his true parentage. As years pass, fate repeatedly brings the estranged parents into contact with the boy and, unknowingly, with each other, setting up a story of separation, mistaken assumptions, and the search for reunion. Directed by A. Bhimsingh, it marked the screen debut of a child actor whose performance drew particular notice.
