Kal Aaj Aur Kal

Hindi · 1971 · 156 min · musical

Directed by Randhir Kapoor — Raj Kapoor · Prithviraj Kapoor · Babita Kapoor · Randhir Kapoor

This 1971 Hindi family drama follows three generations of one household: an aging patriarch who wants his grandson to marry a woman chosen through an old family promise, the grandson who is instead in love with his own girlfriend, and the son caught between them trying to keep the family together. Notably, the film features real-life grandfather, father, and son from the Kapoor family playing these roles. As the standoff between tradition and personal choice deepens, it strains the middle generation's relationship with both his father and his son.
