A young man raised in a village is sent by his adoptive parents to live with his wealthy biological family in the city, leaving behind his childhood sweetheart. Struggling to adjust to urban life and an unwelcoming sister-in-law, he becomes entangled in a blackmail scheme involving his brother, which leads to a legal accusation against him. Directed by Mahesh Manjrekar, the 2000 Hindi comedy stars Govinda and Sonali Bendre and is based on earlier Marathi and Kannada films.
