This 1998 Tamil romantic comedy follows twin brothers Visu and Ramu, sons of a wealthy Los Angeles restaurateur, whose lives intersect with a visiting Chennai family when their grandmother needs surgery in America. A budding romance between Visu and the family's daughter Madhu is complicated by the father's rigid insistence that his identical twin sons marry only identical twin daughters, setting off an elaborate web of deception and mistaken identities that stretches from the US to India. The story also unfolds a family backstory involving the father's estranged twin brother in India, tying past tragedy to the present matchmaking scheme.
