Living with his parents in London, Abhiram falls for Uma, a woman he meets while chaperoning a group of contest-winning tourists across Europe. A missed message leads to a heartbreaking misunderstanding, and Uma's family later arranges her marriage to another man, prompting Abhiram to travel to her village to try to win her back. While fleeing men pursuing him, he is rescued by a woman who reveals that he is actually the son of a man who once fought for the rights of oppressed villagers and was murdered by his own relatives, setting him on a path to confront his hidden past.
