Set against the backdrop of Kuttanad's traditional boat races, the story follows Chandran, son of a boatman determined to win an unprecedented third consecutive victory, as he falls for Geeta, a hardworking orphaned village girl raised by a local family. Their romance is complicated by Geeta's foster brother, a politically active but irresponsible man who pushes for her to marry a man returning from Dubai.
