This 2004 Hindi musical romance, directed by G. Krishna and starring Dino Morea and Bipasha Basu, follows a Hindu man and a Muslim woman whose families are close friends despite their different faiths. When he falls for her but hesitates to reveal his feelings, family circumstances and an arranged marriage push the two families into conflict over the couple's future. The story explores love, faith, and social resistance to an interfaith relationship, and is a remake of the Telugu film Sampangi.
