A 1963 Tamil romance film about a young medical student from a respectable family who leads a dissolute lifestyle in Bangalore. After moving to Madras, he pursues a schoolteacher and gradually reforms his ways, eventually marrying her despite her initial reluctance. Their relationship is tested when he becomes falsely accused of a murder.
