This Malayalam action comedy follows Madhavan Kutty, a corrupt but quick-witted police inspector nicknamed Garud, who bribed his way into the force and now schemes to recover the money through further corruption. When a shipment of weapons destined for the LTTE turns up in Kochi under the protection of a local businessman, an honest officer who exposes the scheme is dismissed, while Garud manages to both rescue and swindle the businessman. His public humiliation by a strict new sub-collector, Sethulakshmi, sets off a chain of events that forces the two into an unlikely marriage arrangement.
