Set in a Kochi housing colony called Harihar Nagar, this 1990 Malayalam comedy-thriller follows four jobless bachelor friends whose lives change when an attractive young woman named Maya moves in next door with her grandparents. As the men scheme to catch her attention, they discover she has actually come to town to look into the suspicious death of her brother, a boxer, and they get pulled into her search by posing as his old friends. Directed by Siddique-Lal, the film became a major box-office hit and later spawned sequels and remakes in other Indian languages.
