Set in and around courtrooms, this 1977 Hindi drama follows Ahmed and Mohan, two men who make their living by offering paid false testimony in legal cases. After coming under the influence of a man named Kabir Das, they attempt to abandon their dishonest ways, only to find honest survival difficult. When Kabir Das is later charged with a murder he denies committing, the pair set out to uncover the truth behind the crime, drawing themselves into further complications.
