Raised together at an orphanage before being taken in by a kind-hearted guest house owner, Raju and Vijay share a close brotherly bond. Raju sacrifices his own prospects to fund Vijay's education and send him abroad to train as a chemical engineer, where Vijay's path crosses with a wealthy man and his headstrong daughter, who is already set to be engaged to another suitor.
