Humshakals is a 2014 Hindi comedy in which best friends Ashok and Kumar find their lives upended when Ashok's greedy uncle drugs them with a formula that makes them act like dogs, so he can seize control of Ashok's family fortune while his father remains comatose. A bizarre mix-up sends the two men to a mental asylum, where they discover lookalikes of themselves and even of the scheming uncle, setting off a chain of mistaken identities involving their girlfriends, asylum staff, and a rival drug smuggler. The story follows their efforts to untangle the confusion and confront the uncle's scheme before he can take over the family business.
