Set in Delhi, this comedy-drama follows a prosperous shopkeeper and his wife who go to increasingly elaborate lengths to get their young daughter into a top English-medium school, believing it will secure her social standing. Their scheme leads them to pose as a poor family and move into a low-income neighborhood to qualify for a quota reserved for disadvantaged applicants, where they bond with a genuinely struggling couple also seeking a school seat for their son.
