Hello is a 1999 Tamil romantic drama about Chandru, a flower-shop worker who invents a fake girlfriend to stop his friends teasing him about his single status. His harmless lie spirals into real trouble when a mix-up during a marriage proposal visit involving his friend Suresh and a woman named Swetha causes a family scandal. As Chandru tries to make amends, he grows close to Swetha and her family, unaware of how his earlier deception will catch up with him.
