In this 1968 Hindi drama directed by Prakash Mehra, a young woman who has relocated with her widowed father falls into a mix-up between two identical-looking young men, one a teasing acquaintance and the other a kind orphan, played by the same actor. Romance develops with the gentler of the two, but complications arise from the other's determination to win her for himself, especially after both men end up serving together when war breaks out. The story follows the resulting confusion over identity and loyalty that threatens the couple's relationship.
