This 2010 Tamil action comedy follows Guru, an unscrupulous moneylender in Rajapalayam who is widely disliked, and Eeti, a sharp-tongued newcomer who becomes his sidekick. Together the two bully their way through the town, repeatedly targeting a woman named Mahalakshmi, while flashbacks reveal that Guru and Mahalakshmi were once married and separated after a family tragedy involving Guru's sister. Midway through the story, Eeti's true connection to Mahalakshmi comes to light, tied to his hidden goal of bringing the estranged pair back together.
