This 1989 Hindi action drama follows Gaurav Shrivastav, nicknamed Guru, whose dream of becoming a honest police officer is crushed when he is turned down for the job. Disillusioned, he drifts into drinking and crime, eventually aligning himself with a ruthless gang to strike back at the police force that denied him his goal, while a woman resembling his love interest also figures within the gang's ranks. The story, directed by Umesh Mehra and starring Mithun Chakraborty, Sridevi, Nutan and Shakti Kapoor, is adapted from the 1985 Tamil film Kaakki Sattai.
