This 1997 Hindi comedy, directed by Basu Chatterjee, follows Ajay Prasad, a gullible small-town man prone to wild flights of imagination that often embarrass him. When a wedding invitation from Bombay arrives, his wife and son stay behind, sending Ajay to the city alone, where he is picked up by a host named Ravi and settled into an upscale apartment. There he becomes drawn into a comic entanglement with his glamorous next-door neighbor, an advertising actress named Chandni.
