In this Malayalam-language thriller, a dedicated Kochi police officer and passionate chess enthusiast is drawn into investigating a chain of killings after receiving a taunting note from an unidentified sender who calls himself 'Z.' As victims fall in an unsettling alphabetical order, each marked with a cross-shaped cut on the forehead, the officer must untangle the connections between the crimes, his own past cases, and his family, including his ex-wife and daughter. The story draws on Agatha Christie's mystery writing, reworked into an Indian setting.
