This Telugu comedy follows Sowmya, an orphaned granddaughter looked down upon in her wealthy grandfather's sprawling, quarrelsome household, and Murali, a rich businessman's son fleeing an arranged match. A chance meeting on a trip abroad sparks romance between them, but a jealous cousin's scheming, family misunderstandings, and clashing elders complicate their path to being accepted as a couple. The 2000 film, directed by E. V. V. Satyanarayana and starring Nandamuri Balakrishna and Simran, is a remake of the Hindi film Hero No. 1.
