This Hindi horror-comedy, directed by Satish Kaushik and adapted from the Bengali film Bhooter Bhabishyat, follows a struggling filmmaker who is told an elaborate tale by a mysterious writer about a group of spirits displaced by Mumbai's urban development. The story traces how a mill owner, a British reader, and other figures from different eras died and came to share a haunted mansion, forming an unlikely ghostly household. When a businessman schemes to tear down their home for a shopping mall, the spirits band together to protect the only shelter they have left.
