Set in a small Kerala village, this 1990 Malayalam comedy drama follows a swindler named Bhairavan who is talked into impersonating a veterinary doctor after the local Panchayat desperately needs one to fill a vacancy. His fake persona, Dr. Pasupathy, wins the trust of the village council head, complicating a budding romance between the leader's daughter and a young man opposed by rival village factions. As more of Bhairavan's associates arrive to join the ruse, the village's tangled relationships and comic rivalries deepen around his deception.
