This 1972 Hindi horror film follows a wealthy widowed scientist whose marriage to a demanding, money-hungry wife turns troubled, especially after he takes in and nurses another woman he had rescued. As jealousy and greed fester within his household, the scientist falls seriously ill from a lab accident, leaving him vulnerable to those around him who have their own hidden motives. The story builds toward a supernatural turn as secrets and betrayals within the family come to a head.
