A newly married couple is kidnapped and abandoned on a hill, where the husband is forced to comply with demands from an anonymous caller who claims to have implanted a bomb. As he desperately attempts to secure ransom money, flashbacks reveal his rise through a cigarette company and a moral conflict over aggressive marketing practices that may have created the circumstances for this dangerous revenge plot.
