Dhadakebaaz

This 1990 Marathi action comedy follows three petty-crook friends, Lakshya, Mahesh and Bappa, who split up after leaving prison but are soon reunited through a string of misadventures involving cheating at cards, a chance rescue, and run-ins with the law. Settling in the village of Shivapur, they get entangled with local romances, a corrupt gang led by a masked crime lord, and a police officer seeking revenge for her parents' murder, while Lakshya also stumbles upon a mysterious lookalike tied to a supernatural twist. Directed by Mahesh Kothare, the film is notable as the first Marathi movie shot in CinemaScope and became a major box-office success.
