This 1991 Hindi drama follows Raja, a gifted but impoverished dancer raised alongside his devoted friend Dattu and Dattu's sister Radha, after his artist parents were torn apart by his father's murder and his mother's imprisonment. Raja's rise to fame through a dance competition draws both a rival in fellow performer Manish and romance with Priya, Manish's former partner, whose wealthy father Brij Bhushan turns out to have a dark connection to Raja's family past. As Raja and Priya's partnership and relationship grow, old secrets and new enemies threaten to unravel their happiness.
