Set in 1980s Bombay amid gang-fueled unrest linked to the mill strike era, this Hindi crime thriller follows Vijay Singh, a principled police officer reassigned to head a training academy in Nashik as a form of demotion. There, he secretly grooms a group of promising young cadets to become ruthless enforcers capable of taking on the city's criminal-political networks outside conventional limits. Based on a nonfiction account by a crime journalist, the story traces how this mission gradually unravels through internal conflict and moral compromise among the officers involved.
