Chinna Thayee

சின்னத்தாயி

Tamil · 1992 · 140 min

Set in a village where a local man serves as a masked oracle figure believed to channel a deity's judgment during an annual festival ritual, this 1992 Tamil drama follows the oracle's son Ponrasu and his lifelong love for a young woman named Chinna Thayee. Their romance is complicated by her mother's own history of betrayal and a secret liaison with a violent man, leading to escalating family and community conflict, a death, and a struggle for justice that draws in the police. The story builds toward a tense confrontation during the next year's ritual ceremony, where Ponrasu himself has taken on the oracle's role.

Where to watch in USA

We haven’t been able to find out. The catalogues we check have no entry for this film at all, which is common for older and regional releases — it means nobody could tell us, not that it isn’t streaming.

We check JioHotstar, Eros Now, Sun NXT, Prime Video, ZEE5 and 13 others. If it is streaming somewhere we don’t read, it won’t show up here — tell us and we’ll add it.
