This 1991 Tamil romantic musical drama follows Chinna Thambi, an uneducated but good-hearted village man, who becomes bodyguard to Nandini, a sheltered wealthy young woman whose overprotective brothers have kept her isolated at home. As the two spend time together despite her family's strict control, an unexpected bond forms between them, leading to complications with her brothers. Directed by P. Vasu with music by Ilaiyaraaja, the film starred Prabhu and Khushbu and became a major commercial success, later remade in Kannada, Telugu, and Hindi.
