Chennakeshava Reddy

Set largely in Rayalaseema, this Telugu action drama follows a once-feared faction chief who returns after two decades away to find his region under the brutal grip of a rival family. Meanwhile, a Mumbai police officer who bears an uncanny resemblance to him falls for a commissioner's daughter, and the two men's paths gradually converge as long-buried family secrets and old vendettas come to light. Directed by V. V. Vinayak and starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, Tabu and Shriya Saran, the film became a major commercial success.
