Chanti

Set on a feudal estate, this 1992 Telugu drama follows Nandini, a landowner's sister kept sheltered by her three overprotective brothers after a childhood prophecy about her future marriage. She is assigned a guileless, good-hearted bodyguard named Chanti, the orphaned son of a village singer, and an unlikely bond grows between them despite the brothers' strict control and violent temper. Directed by Ravi Raja Pinisetty and featuring music by Illayaraja, the film became a major box-office success and a Nandi Award winner.
