Chandaal

This 1998 Hindi action drama, directed by T. L. V. Prasad, follows a principled police officer whose life unravels after he arrests a powerful local crime boss connected to his sister's romantic partner. The gangster retaliates by wiping out the officer's family and framing him for their deaths, leading to a prison term and a new life at a cremation ground once he is freed. There he crosses paths with a fearless journalist being pursued by the same criminal network, and together they begin working to dismantle the gang while a fellow policeman tries in vain to build a case against him.
