This 1989 Hindi comedy follows twin sisters separated at birth: Anju grows up sheltered and abused under the control of a scheming uncle plotting to seize her family's inheritance, while Manju is raised in the streets and becomes a bold, streetwise performer. When circumstances eventually bring the two sisters into contact, their lives and identities begin to intertwine. The story, a remake of an earlier classic, blends family drama with slapstick comedy and features a dual lead performance.
