Boong is a 2024 Manipuri-language drama that follows a young boy growing up in Imphal with his mother after his father, who had gone to Moreh to open a furniture business, falls silent and is rumored to have died. Unwilling to accept this, the boy sets out with his closest friend on a journey to track down his missing father and bring him home. The film, directed by Lakshmipriya Devi, premiered internationally at the Toronto International Film Festival.
