Bhoothaddam Bhaskar Narayana

Telugu · 2024 · 141 min

Directed by Purushotham Raaj, Shravan Kumar Tadka

Set along the Andhra Pradesh–Karnataka border, this Telugu mystery thriller follows Bhaskar, a village private investigator haunted by his brother's wrongful implication and suicide in an old murder case involving a woman named Rahima. Years later, a fresh wave of beheading murders dubbed 'effigy murders' draws Bhaskar back into the mystery, and alongside a victim's sister and local police contacts, he uncovers a long-running pattern tied to abandoned transgender women and hints of ritualistic, black-magic-driven killings. As he digs deeper into old case files and forensic records, the trail leads toward a conspiracy that has evaded justice for nearly two decades.
