Set in the aftermath of the 2002 Gujarat riots, this Malayalam drama follows Mohanachandran Nair, a Kerala native working in Ahmadabad, after he tries to protect a Muslim woman from a mob and is consequently forced to flee, stripped of his job and identity. He eventually settles into an isolated house in Kerala, forming a quiet bond with the surrounding animals and insects while navigating new relationships and renewed hostility from those around him. The film is the concluding part of director T. V. Chandran's trilogy examining the human toll of the Gujarat riots, adapted from a novel by Vaikom Muhammad Basheer.
