After finishing his studies at Oxford, a young man returns to Andhra Pradesh when his father, the state's chief minister, suddenly dies. Thrust unexpectedly into politics, he takes over as chief minister himself and tries to root out the corruption and power struggles he finds within the system, clashing with rival politicians and party insiders along the way.
