This 1991 Hindi romance follows Reshma, a young woman from a wandering Banjara community who is troubled by a recurring nightmare, and Kumar Singh, the son of a local landowning ruler on whose territory her tribe settles. Their growing attraction defies both her existing betrothal and the disapproval of their respective fathers, pushing the couple to flee and seek refuge in an old mansion. There, an elderly caretaker shares a story from the past that begins to shed light on Reshma's visions and the families' opposition.
