Set during India's independence movement, this romantic comedy-drama follows a young girl who enters into an arranged marriage before reaching maturity. As she and her school-aged husband mature together, their initial incomprehension of marriage gradually transforms into genuine affection. The film adapts a Bengali novel and reunites director Tarun Majumdar with the source material, which he had previously filmed in Bengali.
