Set in 18th-century India, this Hindi-language historical drama follows the rise of Maratha military leader Bajirao after he is appointed Peshwa, and his growing bond with Mastani, a warrior-princess he meets while aiding her father's kingdom against invaders. As their relationship deepens, it creates tension within Bajirao's household, particularly with his wife Kashibai and his family's disapproval of Mastani's mixed heritage. The story is adapted from a Marathi novel and depicts the personal and political struggles surrounding this real historical figure.
