Sriramulu Naidu as a remake of his own Tamil hit Malaikkallan, follows Shobha, a young woman taken in by her late father's friend Charandas and his wife after her father's death. When Shobha is mysteriously abducted and later returns unharmed, she reveals she was cared for by a man called Azaad, who turns out to be a notorious bandit rather than the wealthy figure she described.
