Telugu · 2008 · 140 min

Directed by Anish Kuruvilla — Bindu Madhavi · Kamal Kamaraju

Set in the historic town of Devarakonda near Hyderabad, this film follows two young people from vastly different religious and social backgrounds as they pursue their individual ambitions. Akbar, a Muslim auto driver studying for his degree, and Lakshmi, a Hindu woman from a displaced family seeking to establish a business, gradually move from mutual wariness to friendship and eventually romance. Their relationship faces obstacles rooted in cultural prejudice and local corruption, challenging whether their connection can overcome these divides.

Where to watch in USA

We checked the streaming catalogues and it isn’t on any service we cover — in any country, not just yours. Films leave and return, so this can change.

We check JioHotstar, Eros Now, Sun NXT, Prime Video, ZEE5 and 13 others. If it is streaming somewhere we don’t read, it won’t show up here — tell us and we’ll add it.
