Athithi is a 2014 Tamil thriller about Madhiazhagan, a well-off project manager living a comfortable life with his wife Vasuki and young daughter Pavi. Their weekend outing turns into a nightmare when a stranger they pick up threatens them at gunpoint, using their child's safety to force them into destroying their savings and career over the course of a single day. Unable to go to the authorities because of the threat to their daughter, the couple must find their own way out of the escalating ordeal.
