This 1989 Malayalam thriller follows Ben Narendran, a solitary man who takes the blame for a murder committed by a desperate stranger he stops from suicide, and ends up imprisoned for life. Behind bars he secretly writes an acclaimed novel under a pen name, and when a journalist uncovers his identity, she helps him secure a brief parole. Once free, he learns of a friend's suspicious death and, aided by the journalist and a lawyer, begins investigating those responsible.
