Set against the backdrop of resistance to Portuguese rule in Goa, this Hindi drama follows a nightclub owner and a resistance fighter who become entangled with the same woman. Directed by Anand Sagar and inspired by the 1942 Hollywood classic Casablanca, it also features a pianist at the bar and a Portuguese army officer whose interactions add a lighter, comic edge to the story. The narrative begins in Dharampur before shifting to occupied Goa as the freedom struggle unfolds.
