Aparichithan is a 2004 Malayalam supernatural horror film, directed by Sanjeev Sivan in his debut, about three mischief-prone college friends who dabble with an Ouija board and set off a chain of eerie events. Fleeing trouble after being caught cheating on exams, the trio ends up stranded in a remote forest, where they cross paths with a troubled wildlife photographer and encounter a vengeful spirit tied to a past tragedy. The film blends the girls' misadventures with a mounting sense of dread as unseen forces begin to close in on them.
